360° Cooling – Print without supports
With the MK4S, you need significantly fewer supports, which means you can print faster and use less material. The powerful 360° cooling allows you to print up to 75° overhangs without supports, saving you a lot of time and printing costs. It also makes it easier to print flexible materials like TPU, which are difficult to remove supports from.

Accessories for enthusiasts
The MK4S is compatible with two new accessories for enthusiasts and modders. The first is a GPIO “hackerboard”, which allows you to control external electronics using G-codes, and the second is an accelerometer, an accessory for those who have heavily modified their Nextruder. The following accessories are also suitable:
- MMU3
The MK4 printer can also be expanded with an optional accessory, which allows the printer with a single extruder to work with up to five colors (materials) within a single print. Simply insert your five selected filaments, "slice" your model in PrusaSlicer, start printing and the MMU3 will take care of the rest. With redesigned plastic parts, reinforced metal parts and a new, completely rewritten firmware, the MMU3 can produce amazing color prints faster and more efficiently than similar solutions on the market. The MMU3 also has optimized nozzle cleaning and it takes 25-35 seconds to change filament - this makes printing with the MMU3 fast and reliable, and you no longer have to bother with cleaning up a lot of wasted filament. The MMU3 is up to three times more economical in filament handling compared to other multi-material systems with a single nozzle - less wasted plastic, more printing! The high-flow nozzle in the MK4S allows for faster printing, but when using the MMU3, the standard nozzle makes much more sense. It also works with the MMU3 high-flow nozzle, but the increased volumetric flow rate results in more filament waste when printing. In other words, the MMU3 provides the best performance, the same speed and the highest efficiency (lowest waste production) in combination with the standard nozzle, both on the MK4 and MK4S. - Enclosure
If you want to print more advanced technical materials on the MK4, you will need an Enclosure. The Enclosure will provide a stable environment for the printer, protect the print from drafts, eliminate the smell of the filament and further dampen the already very quiet sound of the printer. An enclosure is not necessary for all types of filament. Most common materials such as PLA, PETG, and even some advanced ones (such as PCCF) do not require an enclosure. However, if you need to print with more demanding materials such as ASA, ABS, PC, etc., an enclosure is the best choice to achieve the necessary elevated temperatures and stabilized environment. An optional accessory – a high-performance filtration system – also takes care of ultra-fine particles. A number of useful optional accessories are also available for the Original Prusa Enclosure, such as an advanced filtration system with a HEPA filter, extra lighting - an LED strip, a mechanical lock or a fire protection system.
Open design – easy maintenance
We design our machines to withstand continuous operation with minimal downtime. The open bed-slinger design is the result of 10 years of development and allows easy access to all parts without the tedious disassembly of the entire printer. No welded or glued parts – everything can be easily disassembled (and reassembled) using a set of Allen keys.
