Product detailed description

Remote control American battle tank model (RC model), complete set with accessories. The model is RTR (Ready to Use) and is therefore capable of operation immediately after unpacking. It is equipped with a realistic undercarriage with functional tracks, drive, travel and tension wheels that allow driving forward, backward and turning. The gearboxes are equipped with motors of size 380. The tank contains a cannon for 6mm balls. It is controlled cyclically by holding down the left stick of the transmitter (Lowering and raising). It has a 2.4 GHz remote control. It is equipped with an infrared combat system that enables interactive battles between vehicles of the same series. The model is equipped with a sound module imitating the sound of the engine, the sounds of firing from a machine gun and a cannon. A smoke generator is also installed. It also contains metal parts. The model is delivered in a high-quality cardboard box with a print.

Quick instructions for use:
Charge the drive battery by connecting it to the charging adapter and plugging it into a power source. If the model is equipped with a charging connector, you do not need to remove the battery, you can charge it directly in the model. Insert the appropriate number of AA batteries into the transmitter (door on the back). Open the tank model according to the specific type (safety lever on the bottom of the tank, or the lever on the left side under the rear fender, or the door on the bottom of the tank tank). Place the charged drive battery in the tank and connect it to the power connector. Turn the transmitter ON first, and then turn the model ON. Press the start button on the transmitter or switch the start lever (depending on the version of the transmitter). The starting sound will be heard and the model is ready to drive after a while (about 20-30 seconds). The left lever controls the rotation of the tower right-left. The left lever pushed back and forth controls the raising-lowering of the cannon and the firing of the cannon. With the BB version of the tank, depending on the version of the transmitter, it is sometimes necessary to simultaneously hold the safety button on the upper side of the transmitter when firing the cannon. The movement of the model forward-backward-right-left-turning is smoothly controlled with the right stick. The function buttons or switches depending on the version of the transmitter control the sound volume, machine gun fire, cannon fire (press the upper right button and push the left lever forward), engine start-stop and sound set. After driving, always turn the model OFF first and then the transmitter OFF. Always recharge the battery before storing. If the battery is not going to be used for a long time, it must be regularly checked and recharged.

WARNING! This RC tank is not a toy, but a more sophisticated, functional model that behaves very much like a real tank. Due to its realistic parameters, if it is not correctly assembled and operated correctly, it can cause you injury, or injure the viewer, or damage property. If you use the model in the BB version (fires 6mm bullets), always follow the basic safety rules. Never leave the model unattended in the presence of children under 14 years of age. If you unlock the firing mechanism, always wear safety glasses, as do any spectators. A fired bullet can ricochet and damage your eyesight! Never aim or shoot at people or animals! Check the target area before firing. Never look (or a spectator) into the barrel of a tank with the firing mechanism unlocked, even if you think the magazine is empty. The responsibility for damages and injuries is borne by the user of the model, not the manufacturer, nor the seller! The model is designed to be driven indoors or outdoors on a solid dry surface, under no circumstances should it be driven in water, snow, puddles, mud, sand, tall grass, public roads and other places (e.g. parking lots ) with car operation. High "hairy" carpets are also unsuitable surfaces. This model requires regular maintenance and is intended for modelers over 14 years of age.

Our test M1A2 Abrams (Amewi - Heng Long): The German company Amewi offers tanks made by the Chinese manufacturer Heng Long in its own edition. This particular model is, from my discerning perspective as an experienced modeller, a decent foundation for further extensive rebuilding and improvement of my own. This particular model is in the all-plastic version, which does not automatically mean that the model is worse than the version with metal belts! Paradoxically, tanks with plastic gearboxes and plastic belts have even better service life than those with metal ones. For a complete beginner, this model is perfect for playing. The basic weakness of this model, as with all tanks equipped with original Chinese electronics, is its MFU (multifunction unit). Although Amewi puts the relatively latest electronics in the tanks in its edition, it is still only a universal MFU TK 7.0, which provides proportional control of functions, has a better range of sounds, and the integrated IR battle module gives the option, in addition to firing 6mm bullets (dangerous! ) also organize IR battles of equally equipped RC tanks. The manufacturer mentions the possibility of switching engine sounds as a super improvement of the electronics (4 different tank engines change cyclically), but I don't understand why I should activate the Tiger sound for the Abrams. Is that supposed to be a plus? The smoke module is very noisy and if the speaker of the sound module is not turned up to full, the sound of the smoke generator will drown out the sound of the engine. I personally do not like the smoke generator producing white "cigarette" smoke at all. But the audience likes it, so what. However, I prefer to turn off the smoke module in my tanks, or not have it at all. The general driving characteristics of this model are sufficient for a beginner. However, what bothers me a lot is the way of imitating the slip when firing from a cannon. When shot, the whole tank jerks back, which is completely unrealistic. If I have to sum it all up, this model is basically still the same in terms of construction as it has been in production for 10 years or more. The electronics have undergone a significant improvement, which is really more modern and of better quality than in previous versions. The manufacturer switched from traditional NiMH batteries to more modern Li-Ion, but the dimensions of the battery compartment strongly limit the use of batteries with a higher capacity, which is a shame. This model will certainly meet the expectations of a beginner RC tank modeller, or it will suffice for less demanding users. Those who are more demanding will rebuild the model to a higher modeling standard using the high-quality German MFU Elmod.
