Product detailed description

Remote-controlled miniature RC tank model with electric drive, with realistic functions of vehicle movement, turret rotation, shooting simulation, sound and smoke module.

The Panzerkampfwagen VI, better known as the Tiger II or King Tiger, was an improved version of the Tiger heavy tank. It was considered the best tank of the Wehrmacht in World War II. The 8.8 cm gun gave the King Tiger tremendous firepower. The first 50 examples received a turret developed by Porsche, before a narrower turret from Henschel was installed.

This electric powered RC model faithfully performs most of the functions of a real tank. It is equipped with a realistic undercarriage with functional tracks, drive, travel and tension wheels, which allow driving forward and backward, turning left and right while driving forward and backward. It is also possible to turn on the spot using the counter to the normal movement of the belts. 360° rotation of the turret to each side and lowering/raising of the cannon barrel are remotely controlled. The sound module imitates the sound of the engine, machine gun and cannon fire. A cannon shot can be accompanied by a recoil simulation. The realism of the model is further enhanced by the smoke generator, which produces faint white smoke from a special liquid.

The model is controlled by a transmitter with two cross controllers (the left controls the rotation of the tower, aiming the cannon and firing; the right controls the movement of the tank forward, backward and turning). The function buttons on the transmitter are used to trigger individual actions such as starting the engine, imitating the sound of machine gun fire, the sound of cannon fire, turning on/off the smoke generator, adjusting the volume of the model's sound effects and selecting the sound set (Note: individual functions and buttons may differ according to type of tank and transmitter). The RC set controlling the model works in the 2.4GHz band, which allows the simultaneous undisturbed movement of several tanks at once.

The tank also has a smoke and sound function. The firing function is performed using the control lever and safety button on the transmitter and fires 6mm BB hard plastic bullets. The model also has an infrared combat module that allows it to fight with other tanks from this Amewi edition. In case of a direct hit by an enemy tank, the hit tank will shake and simulate the hit. Gearboxes are encapsulated (covered) on the inside. All controlled functions are proportional. The electronics is the latest TK-7.0 version and a modern LiPo battery with 1800mAh and 7.4V is included.
The functionality of the model has been tested before packaging and the functional log is included with the model.

Quick instructions for use:
Charge the drive battery by connecting it to the charging adapter and plugging it into a power source. If the model is equipped with a charging connector, you do not need to remove the battery, you can charge it directly in the model. Insert the appropriate number of AA batteries into the transmitter (door on the back). Open the tank model according to the specific type (safety lever on the bottom of the tank, or the lever on the left side under the rear fender, or the door on the bottom of the tank tank). Place the charged drive battery in the tank and connect it to the power connector. Turn the transmitter ON first, and then turn the model ON. Press the start button on the transmitter or switch the start lever (depending on the version of the transmitter). The starting sound will be heard and the model is ready to drive after a while (about 20-30 seconds). The left lever controls the rotation of the tower to the right - to the left. The left lever pushed back and forth controls the raising and lowering of the cannon and the firing of the cannon. With the BB version of the tank, depending on the version of the transmitter, it is sometimes necessary to simultaneously hold the safety button on the upper side of the transmitter when firing the cannon. With the right lever, the movement of the model is smoothly controlled forward - backward - right - left - turning. The function buttons or switches depending on the version of the transmitter are used to control the sound volume, machine gun fire, cannon fire (press the upper right button and press the left lever forward), engine start-stop and sound set. After driving, always turn the model OFF first and then the transmitter OFF. Always recharge the battery before storing. If the battery is not going to be used for a long time, it must be regularly checked and recharged.

WARNING! This RC tank is not a toy, but a more sophisticated, functional model that behaves very much like a real tank. Due to its realistic parameters, if it is not correctly assembled and operated correctly, it can cause you injury, or injure the viewer, or damage property. If you use the model in the BB version (fires 6mm plastic bullets), always follow the basic safety rules. Never leave the model unattended in the presence of children under 14 years of age. If you unlock the firing mechanism, always wear safety glasses, as do any spectators. A fired bullet can ricochet and damage your eyesight! Never aim or shoot at people or animals! Check the target area before firing. Never look (or a spectator) into the barrel of a tank with the firing mechanism unlocked, even if you think the magazine is empty. The responsibility for damages and injuries is borne by the user of the model, not the manufacturer, nor the seller!

The model is intended for driving indoors or outdoors on a suitable dry surface. It is not waterproof or waterproof, in no way can it be ridden in water and snow (after it melts it is water). It can handle driving on concrete, asphalt, hard clay surface, gravel, sand, thick mud and driving on wet surface (very shallow puddle). Attention, pebbles, dirt, or other objects accumulated in parts of the chassis can cause the belt to break or damage the ride. Driving on grass is not recommended, as there is a risk of overloading the motors and burning them, or damage to the electronics that is not covered by the warranty. High "hairy" carpets are also an unsuitable surface. Driving on public roads and other places (e.g. parking lots) with car traffic is prohibited.
Belts can be pulled out during driving due to the effect of dirt collected during driving, or due to the effect of frictional forces, especially when turning on a slightly slippery surface. Possible falling or breaking of belts is a common manifestation of the tank model, it is not claimable as a manufacturing defect. Regular maintenance of the model is recommended.
The model is intended for modelers older than 14 years.

The warranty is 24 months and refers to manufacturing defects detected immediately during test operation of the model, or manifested during a short period of time after the start of operation. Wear and tear of functional parts caused by operation and use of the model is not covered by the warranty. The range of operational wear is not defined and may be different for metal and plastic parts of the model. The warranty also does not cover damage caused by impacts, overloading of mechanical or electronic parts of the model, incorrect connection, overheating, locking or neglected maintenance.

Good advice: Control electronics, so-called The 5th generation HL.TK-7.0 (Heng Long) and its mutations (Torro, Taigen, Amewi, Pelikan and others) has decent quality and durability. Unlike the older MF electronics based on the HL RX-18, this is a significant improvement in functions and features. It fully suits beginners and less demanding modellers. However, for more advanced and demanding modellers, we recommend a complete replacement of the electronics with an MFU Elmod, including the related adjustments to the slide and the flash of the cannon. If you are interested, we will advise you on everything and carry out the exchange. Although the replacement costs approximately €280, the tank model will get a radical improvement in all its features!

Our test - experience with the new Heng Long HL.TK-7.0 electronics: RC tanks of the new generation manufactured by the Chinese company Heng Long and packed in Torro, Amewi, Pelikán or other packages are equipped with the new 5th generation HL.TK-7.0 multifunctional unit , which has an integrated receiver, sound module and mix-module ensuring the movement of the model. The main difference compared to the older version is the possibility of using Li-Pol batteries, and the manufacturer also declares better proportional control. This means that the starting, stopping and turning of the model should be more similar to the realistic parameters of a real tank. An improvement is the possibility of tuning (trimming) the right and left belt drive in case the model "pulls" to one side. The most obvious improvement is first of all in the sound module, which contains four optional sound sets. This means that instead of some weird universal engine sound, you can choose one of the sets for the Tiger, Leopard, T-90 (T-72?) and Abrams tanks. By simultaneously pressing the G+K buttons, you cycle through the desired sound set. Another significant advance is the ability to turn on and off other functions of the lights, BB/IR mode, imitation of skidding by jerking the tank during a shot, and in the future the manufacturer even promises a cannon stabilization function. All original functions have been preserved or have been slightly improved.
I was interested in the funny innovation of the IR Battle system (note, only for models in the BB+IR version). The sensor mushroom is connected via a cable under the hatch and is simply placed on top of the tower and held in place by a magnet.
An improvement is also the possibility of using a set of conversion cables (sold separately), with which the MFU can be connected to a non-original Chinese RC transmitter. So it is possible to use an RC kit of another brand. But it is still not possible to somehow improve the parameters, add sounds, tune the properties of the model. Simply put, it is an improved MFU, but still with very limited options.
My final recommendation is to not expect too much from tank models equipped with HL.TK-7.0 and its mutations. If you are buying the model as a beginner RC tank modeller, then it is fully sufficient electronics that will make you happy and is enough for the beginning.
But if you are among the more demanding modelers or fans of high-quality models of tank technology, we recommend that you also completely replace this Chinese electronics with the German Elmod Fusion ECO/PRO using the Carson Reflex 6k transmitter. With this German electronics, you get a model on a completely different, dramatically higher level, and you get to know the world of realistic tank models.
