This high quality precision sanded balsa is suitable for building model airplanes, boats, or other wooden models. It is used as the main building material in the construction of the fuselage or wing of an aircraft, or for the planking of a ship, for the construction of architectural models, but it has many uses in other types of hobby as well.

Lightweight balsa usually has a specific gravity of up to 120g/dm3
