Electric Racing Set Scalextric ARC AIR World GT Wireless 1/32
Code: SCAL-C1434Product detailed description
Electric Racing Set Scalextric ARC AIR World GT Wireless 1/32 Scalextric C1434
For more than 50 years, Scalextric tracks have been among the best available on the market. Each car track set contains everything needed to build a high-quality track and is powered by a 14V transformer from the electrical network. Scalextric cars are 1/32 scale and crash resistant.
This kind of car track has various functions controlled by your smartphone. You simply download the application and after a few simple settings you can race. The application allows you to set everything from the countdown at the start to tire wear, fuel consumption or various weather effects. Cars on the track have both front and rear lights on. If you don't like one circuit, you can build one of the 12 different circuits that the car track allows you to build.

Explaining the differences between digital and analog control
Classic (analog) control allows you to drive only one car in one slot at a time. If you put two cars on a track, they will both move at the same time, in the same direction and at about the same speed.
Digital control allows up to 6 cars to drive in a single slot at the same time, while each of them is independently controlled by its own controller, can go at a different speed and can pass from slot to slot on switches and thus overtake or block the opponent. Digital car tracks provide much more fun and give much wider racing possibilities!
Compilation of the track
Connect the parts by inserting the tabs into the opposite beds. If the tab is slightly extended after long storage, you can push it slightly upwards. Assembling the track, flyover posts, run-out zones and guardrails is very easy, just slide the tabs into the grooves. For the correct and full function of the assembled track, it is necessary to use only the original transformer with the Hornby/Scalextric logo. On the back of the transformer you will find all the necessary parameters and markings. Connect the controllers first, then the transformer. You connect them to the power supply unit by inserting the connectors into the corresponding holes. By placing the cars on the track so that the guide is in the groove and the pickups are on the rails, the track is ready for use. The controls have a dynamic braking function. Press the trigger to increase speed, release the trigger to slow down, fully release the trigger to engage the brake.
Track cleaning
The metal slats next to the guide groove of the track section are coated with a special preservative oil in the factory, protecting the slats from corrosion during production and later storage. Before the first use, we recommend cleaning the surface of the guide rails with a soft cloth soaked in technical alcohol, never in water or oil. If the metal slats of the track are gray on the surface and have impaired conductivity (this happens after a long period of disuse), it is necessary to clean them, for example, using a special cleaning block - track cleaner (cat. no. 9555281). After finishing use and disassembling the track, we recommend putting the parts back in the original box and storing them in a dry and cool place.
Auto track operation
Remember to clean the track before using the car, this will ensure proper function. Place the car on the track and slowly press the appropriate controller. If the car does not move or does not drive smoothly after pressing the trigger of the controller:
-Check that all track pieces are connected correctly.
-Check the connections between the transformer and the power supply unit and the transformer and the electrical outlet.
-Check the connection of the controller to the track.
-Check the pickups on the toy car's leash to make sure they are clean and touching the track the right way.
-Check the rear axle of the toy car, whether it rotates freely or is not blocked.
-Check whether the toy car is overheated, whether it has a hot engine (therefore blocked), if so, let it cool down.
-Disconnect the transformer and check if there is a short circuit somewhere on the track due to some metal debris (small screw, forgotten screwdriver, etc.), or if the guide rails are not touching due to some unevenness under the track, or due to damage or deformation of the track part.
-The transformer has a protection circuit against overload and short circuit. If the cars suddenly stop running after a long period of use (the overload resistance fuse has tripped), disassemble all track joints, clean them and adjust them so that the contacts are perfect. If there is a short circuit on the track, the transformer is switched off for 60 seconds. Disconnect it from the mains and eliminate the cause of the short circuit.
- If the toy car keeps falling off the track, check if the leash is in order or if there is dirt on the track. Maybe it's enough to drive ... more carefully!
-When using the track for the first time, the controllers may smell slightly burnt and may smoke slightly. It's ok, this phenomenon will stop after using for a while.
Car maintenance
A track car is an electromechanical device, requiring appropriate handling and regular maintenance. For basic maintenance, it is enough to drop fine machine oil on the drive gears (only a small amount). Before greasing the pantograph on the guide to make good electrical contact between the wheel pantographs and the tracks and also protect the tires. If hair or hair from the carpet gets caught on the axle of the wheels, it is necessary to carefully remove them so that the wheels can rotate freely without increased resistance.
Lifetime of the car:
The lifespan of a track car is limited by the intensity of use. With frequent and intensive use, it is necessary to take into account that moving and frictional parts of the car will wear out (rubbers, gears, engine carbons, collecting brushes, lights, etc.). In order to ensure the longest possible lifespan of the car, we recommend that you regularly clean it (also from the inside from accumulated dust), oil it, and check the temperature of the engine by placing your palm under the car during long drives. If the engine is hot, park the car, preferably with the wheels up, to let the engine cool down. This will significantly extend your life
Notice for parents
This car track is a model (cars are exact scale models), not a toy suitable for children under 5! Some parts have sharp edges and corners that could injure a child if used carelessly without adult supervision. Small parts could be swallowed by a small child! The transformer is an electrical device and should be inspected before each use for signs of surface damage or damage to the power cord. In case of doubt, or in case of damage, it should not be used until it has been checked and repaired by a professional. It's an electrical device! Only use the supplied transformer, always under adult supervision and unplug it from the mains whenever the track is not in use. A transformer is not a toy. As with any electrical device, there is a risk of electric shock if handled incorrectly. The transformer should be disconnected from the electrical network even when cleaning the track.
