A-Stand paints are high-quality lacquer paints specially developed for use with an airbrush (they are not suitable for application with a brush)

The range includes durable matte, satin and gloss varnishes, which include base colors, a wide range of metallic and Hot Metal colors, transparent colors with a glossy finish, Candy colors that have vivid and bright tones and Aqua Gloss acrylic varnish.

Each varnish can be applied to any type of paint. The series also includes a specific thinner, suitable for all products except acrylic Aqua Gloss varnish, which can be diluted with water.

All products can be mixed to create an infinite number of different colors and tones.

How to use A-Stand colors

The fine pigment and dilution of A-Stand paints allows them to be airbrushed directly from the bottle without the risk of clogging, although A-Stand Airbrush Thinner & Cleaner (AMIG2013) can be added to achieve finer and thinner layers of paint.

Use standard air pressure for spraying depending on what your particular airbrush is or your personal preference, usually between 1 and 2 bars (14.5-29 psi). The recommended size of the nozzle is 0.2 - 0.3 mm

The paint is dry to the touch in about 30 minutes, but it is recommended (before applying other layers) to let the paint dry for up to 1 hour. The product hardens completely in 24 hours, which allows the safe use of, for example, masking tape or weathering products. Keep the model covered during drying to prevent dust and other dirt from sticking to the finish. When using these paints, it is recommended to use a respirator and apply them in well-ventilated areas.

A-Stand products

Metallic Paints:  You can spray your models with any metallic finish including copper, brass, gold, chrome or various shades of burnished metal with our extensive range of metallic paints. These metallic paints are extremely durable and will not be affected by any product or paint, and their very fine pigment creates a completely smooth finish.

Primers: The primer range is among the most durable airbrush primers available. Matte and glossy primer colors are available for all types of models. These primers also act as a micro-filler to cover small scratches and surface imperfections. They can be used on any material, plastic, resin and metal.

Transparent varnishes: A-Stand transparent varnishes allow you to create different effects, such as glazes used to change the surface finish of other colors, tinting transparent parts or achieving different tones of already used colors. It is enough if you apply them with an airbrush on the surface in front of the prepared surface. The effect is more intense with more layers of spray.

Candy colors: Candy colors are colors with extremely intense, vivid and colorful tones, which are ideal for obtaining really expressive and original colors. They are great for your car or motorbike models, dioramas or fantasy and sci-fi figures or Gundam models.

Hot Metal Colors: The Hot Metal range of colors has been created to simulate the iridescent tones of burnt metal produced by the high temperatures in aircraft jet engines. They can also be very useful for simulating this effect on exhaust pipes or other metal elements. affected by heat and exhaust gases.

Klear Kote Lacquers: Klear Kote Lacquers offer extremely durable matte, satin and gloss finishes for your models.

Aqua Gloss Acrylic Varnish (AMIG2503):  The A-Stand range also includes Aqua Gloss Acrylic Varnish, which is ideal for protecting all types of paint just prior to the application of decals or enamels and acrylic products for patina and weathering. The varnish dries very quickly and after 1 hour you will be able to work safely. However, you will reach maximum resistance after 24 hours. This varnish can be diluted with water.

Airbrush Thinner & Cleaner (AMIG2013): Specially developed preparation for thinning lacquers from the A-Stand range of colors as well as for cleaning the airbrush after each use.

Not suitable for children under 14 years old. Children's work with paint must always be supervised by an adult. Combustible, dangerous fumes, thoroughly ventilate the room during work. Do not use open flames and sources of sparks. Do not store near heat sources. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention. In case of breathing problems, provide fresh air, ventilate. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting, seek medical help immediately. Do not drink or eat the contents of the container, do not rub it on your skin.
