FlySky's ST8 transmitter will be your new best friend when controlling model airplanes. With countless options available, everything can be optimally set to suit your own needs. The built-in STM32 chip from the all-new G series also provides the necessary technical performance. With a simple and intuitive design with 8 to 10 channels, this transmitter is suitable for both beginners and more experienced pilots.

Transmitter layout.

There are 4 switches on the front top side. 3 of them are two-position and one three-position. Between them are two rotary knobs. In the middle there is a holder for attaching a strap and a phone, a power button and joysticks. The joysticks have translucent plastic around them for RGB backlighting. The element that catches the eye first is the display. It is controlled using a scroll wheel, buttons and rotary trims. There are two buttons on the left side of the display: Menu and Exit. There are feet on the bottom of the transmitter for convenient storage.

Ports and power

On the upper side, there is a USB-C port designed for upgrading the firmware (using the PC application), connecting a simulator or an external battery, such as a power bank. Next to it is a 3.5mm jack for teacher/student connection. Between them there is a cover for the external antenna.
There is a port for connecting the holder to the RF module at the back. Using an external RF module, it is even possible to change the protocol, so if you own older receivers from Flysky, you can continue to use them with this transmitter. There is also a compartment for batteries on the back of the transmitter. The transmitter can be powered by standard AA batteries/NiMH batteries and 2S Li-Pol batteries. The compartment also contains a JST port

ANT protocol

The ST8 transmitter uses the new ANT protocol, which was created based on experience with other protocols. Through the RF function, the number of RF transmission channels, resolution of each channel, distance, anti-interference and transmission delay are set. With simple operations, the control system is designed to meet different user requirements.
