Product detailed description

Water-based acrylic varnish with a satin (semi-matte) finish designed for airbrush. After drying, it forms a perfect protective layer against dust, damage, dirt and moisture.

Packaging: 17 ml

Modeling acrylic varnish intended for the final surface treatment of a model or other object. It is designed for airbrush spraying on paint, or directly on bare plastic, polyurethane, metal, wood, ceramics, textiles, or on any other suitable surface. Non-flammable base, dries quickly - after approx. 5 minutes - 1 hour, the surface can be sprayed again, fully dries within 12 hours. Well-dried paint creates a hard, durable surface that can be easily polished with a fine polishing paste (for example, Tamiya polishing pastes) to achieve an absolutely perfect surface.

Not suitable for children under 8 years old. Children's work with varnish must always be supervised by an adult. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting, seek medical help immediately. Do not drink or eat the contents of the container, do not rub it on your skin.

Mix the varnish well before use. Apply to a well-degreased, dry, clean surface. After work, always close the container tightly, the varnish dries due to the access of air. Always wipe the top of the container dry, do not let the varnish residue dry even on the edge. This will extend the shelf life of the paint after resealing.

Thinning: The varnish is supplied in such a density that it can be used immediately in the airbrush. If you decide to thin the varnish, use only the original Ammo Acrylic Thinner (AMIG2000). If you use another thinner, the varnish may deteriorate.

Painting: The varnish is not intended for painting with a brush because it is too thin.

Spraying: The recommended distance from the painted object/model is approx. 15cm with a pressure of 1.2 bar (17psi). Be careful not to flood the surface while spraying. The varnish is supplied in a diluted state, but if necessary, you can dilute it appropriately with a thinner (or a small amount of water), depending on the type of spray gun and other spraying parameters.

Drying time: The varnish dries to the touch literally "before your eyes" within a few minutes. Drying can be accelerated by using a hair dryer. Complete drying takes about 12 hours, depending on the thickness of the layer (it is recommended to spray only in thin layers). For further painting/spraying with a new layer, just wait a few minutes for the original layer to dry.

Cleaning: Wash immediately with water after use. While the varnish is fresh, it can be completely washed off without leaving any traces. To clean the spray gun, we recommend Airbrush Cleaner Tamiya or another brand.
