Product detailed description
The model is delivered without surface treatment and thus allows modelers to create a model according to their idea of camouflage.
Remote control tank model (RC model), complete set with accessories, with electric drive faithfully simulates most of the functions of a real tank. It is equipped with a realistic undercarriage with functional tracks, drive, travel and tension wheels that allow driving forward, backward and turning. The rotation of the tower and the aiming of the cannon (lowering and raising of the barrel) are also remotely controlled. The model has a built-in infrared cannon, when driving several models equipped in this way, it is possible to simulate various battles (it does not shoot bullets). The simulation is complemented by a sound module imitating the sound of the engine and a smoke generator. A long driving time is ensured by a Ni-MH battery with a capacity of 1700 mAh.
The model version contains many metal parts. Tank, gears, barrel, details... are made of zinc alloy, aluminum and brass. The electric model of the legendary Tiger tank simulates most of the functions of the real tank. The model is assembled and painted, small details are delivered in a box, the modeler adds them to the surface of the model himself. It is equipped with a realistic undercarriage with functional tracks, drive, travel and tension wheels, which allow driving forward, backward and turning. The gearboxes are equipped with motors of size 380. The rotation of the tower is in the range of 350 degrees, the aim of the cannon (lowering and raising) is controlled cyclically by holding the left lever of the transmitter. The model is equipped with a sound module imitating the sound of the engine, the sounds of machine gun fire and cannon. A smoke generator is also installed. A sheet of stickers is attached. RC kit working in the 2.4 GHz band, allowing you to drive multiple models without limitation with a free channel search. Driving time with a fully charged mAh battery is up to 40 minutes, of course depending on the driving style. The model has built-in metal tuning - metal tub, metal parts of the gearbox, metal parts on the chassis, metal tracks and parts of the tower, metal barrel. It requires increased maintenance and care.

WARNING! This RC tank is not a toy, but a more sophisticated, functional model that behaves very much like a real tank. Due to its realistic parameters, if it is not properly assembled and operated, it can cause you injury, or injure the viewer, or damage property. If you use the model in the BB version (fires 6mm bullets), always follow the basic safety rules. Never leave the model unattended in the presence of children under 14 years of age. If you unlock the firing mechanism, always wear safety glasses, as do any spectators. A fired bullet can ricochet and damage your eyesight! Never aim or shoot at people or animals! Check the target area before firing. Never look (or a spectator) into the barrel of a tank with the firing mechanism unlocked, even if you think the magazine is empty. The responsibility for damages and injuries is borne by the user of the model, not the manufacturer, nor the seller! The model is designed to be driven indoors or outdoors on a solid dry surface, under no circumstances should it be driven in water, snow, puddles, mud, sand, tall grass, public roads and other places (e.g. parking lots ) with car operation. High "hairy" carpets are also unsuitable surfaces. This model requires regular maintenance and is intended for modelers over 14 years of age.
Warning - good advice: The control electronics of the MFU RX-18 (Heng Long) and its mutations (Torro, Taigen, Amewi, Pelikán and others) have a "diverse" quality and a short lifespan. For more advanced and demanding modelers/users, we recommend its complete replacement with MFU Elmod. If you are interested, we will advise you on everything and carry out the exchange. Although the replacement costs around €200, the tank model will get a radical improvement in all its features!
Our test - experience with the MFU RX-18 electronics: All RC tanks manufactured by the Chinese company Heng Long and packed in Torro, Amewi, Pelikán or other packages are standardly equipped with the RX-18 multifunctional unit, which has an integrated receiver, sound module and a mix-module ensuring the movement of the model. Whether it is the most basic version of the all-plastic tank model, or a tuning one with added metal parts, the product's weakness is its electronics. As part of their quality control, Torro puts supposedly higher quality RX-18s in the tanks and adds a cooling fan to the motherboard, but our experience is that it's still just generic Chinese electronics. Although it provides proportional control of the driving functions of the model, the sound module has also partially improved over the years, but the result is not satisfactory. The sounds of the engine, shots, or tank mechanisms are not very realistic and suitable just for a complete beginner. The imitation of a skid when firing from a cannon is ridiculous (this applies mainly to the BB version of the model), when the entire tank jerks backwards when fired, which is completely unrealistic. It has improved slightly in the newer versions of the RX-18, but overall there is nothing to rave about. But the worst thing is still the high percentage of defectiveness of these Chinese electronics, regardless of the brand of the distributor it is packaged under.
Our recommendation is not to expect much from tank models equipped with the RX-18 and its mutations. If you are buying the model as a toy for a child, then it is sufficient, you just have to expect that sooner or later the electronics will break.
If you are among the more demanding modellers or fans of tank technology, we recommend completely replacing the Chinese electronics with the German Elmod Fusion ECO/PRO using the Carson Reflex 6k transmitter. With this German electronics, you will get a model on a whole new level, and get to know the world of realistic tank models.

Our test Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger (Torro): German company Torro specializes in upgrading otherwise rather crappy (I'm talking electronics) RC tank models from Chinese manufacturer Heng Long. From my demanding point of view as an experienced modeller, this particular model is an excellent basis for further custom rebuilding and improvement. Thanks to the extensive tuning with metal parts, the general driving characteristics are quite good, so for a beginner this model is completely sufficient. The main weakness of this otherwise very good product is its electronics. Although Torro puts relatively better electronic products in the tanks as part of its quality control, it is still just a universal MFU RX-18, which provides proportional control of functions, but the integrated sound module completely degrades this model. A kind of universal sound of the engine, as well as imitations of the sounds of shots or tank mechanisms, are the same perhaps in all types that Heng Long makes and Torro modifies. The smoke module is very noisy and if the speaker of the sound module is not turned up to full, the sound of the smoke generator will drown out the sound of the engine. I personally do not like the smoke generator producing white "cigarette" smoke at all. But the audience likes it, so what. However, I prefer to turn off the smoke module in my tanks, or not have it at all. As I mentioned, the general driving characteristics of this model are completely sufficient for a beginner. However, what bothers me a lot is the way of imitating the slip when fired from a cannon (this applies mainly to the BB version of the model). When shot, the whole tank jerks back, which is completely unrealistic. To sum it all up, I would buy this model knowing that its electronics are desperately weak and sooner or later I will replace them (after they break) and rebuild the model to a higher modeler standard using a quality German Elmod MFU. After such modification, it is a perfect model.
