Tamiya acrylic modeling paint intended for painting or airbrushing on plastic, polyurethane, metal, wood, ceramics, textiles, or on other suitable surfaces. Non-flammable base, dries quickly - after 1 hour the surface can be repainted, fully dries within 24 hours. A well-dried base color creates a hard, durable surface that can be lightly sanded under water with fine sandpaper to achieve an absolutely perfect surface.

Not suitable for children under 8 years old. Children's work with paint must always be supervised by an adult. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting, seek medical help immediately. Do not drink or eat the contents of the container, do not rub it on your skin.

Good tip: This acrylic paint is used to color the surface for example of a model. Before painting or airbrushing with the final surface color, it is a good idea to spray the surface with some shade of the base color, depending on what surface color you will subsequently paint the model with. Under the light shades of the surface colors, it is also advisable to use a corresponding light shade of the base. Subsequent work with colors is much more convenient and the result is absolutely perfect.

Mix the paint well before use. Apply to a well-degreased, dry, clean surface. After work, always close the container tightly, the paint dries due to air access. Always wipe the top of the container dry, do not let paint residues dry even on the edge. This will extend the shelf life of the paint after resealing.

Thinning: Use only the original Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner, which is available in packaging from 10ml to 250ml. If you use another thinner, the color may deteriorate.

Painting: For painting, it is advisable to leave the paint in a thicker form, to dilute it with an appropriately small amount of thinner. When painting non-absorbent materials (plastic, metal, glass,...) it is usually not necessary to prepare the surface with a base paint and usually one layer of paint is enough for good coverage. When painting absorbent surfaces (for example, wood), it is advisable to use a base color first, or to apply the first layer of a thicker color and after it has dried thoroughly (at least 24 hours), cover it with a second thin layer of paint.

Airbrushing: For airbrushing, the paint is usually diluted in a ratio of 1 part of thinner to 1 part of paint, but the thinner can be appropriately more, depending on the type of airbrush and other spraying parameters.

Drying time: The paint dries to the touch in a few minutes, but it takes at least 1 hour to fully dry, depending on the thickness of the layer. It is recommended to wait at least 2 hours for the next coating/spraying with a new layer.

Slow drying: If you don't like the quick drying of Tamiya spray paint, you can slow it down by using a small amount of Tamiya Paint Retarder Acrylic 40ml 87114.

Cleaning: Just use Tamiya X-20A thinner to clean the brush. To keep the brush in good condition, we recommend using Tamiya Brush Conditioning Fluid 23ml 87181. To clean the airbrush, we recommend Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner Acryl 250ml 87089.
