The proven Slash RC car model, which set the standard for all other 1/10 scale models, comes in a new, even more durable version equipped with the strongest Extreme Heavy Duty components. For brutal acceleration and a speed of up to 96 km/h, the model is equipped with a Velineon 550 AC motor. Independent suspension, 4x4 drive and TSM electronic driving stabilization contribute to excellent handling. Newly exclusive clipless body mounting system for easy battery replacement.

The Slash's excellent design has been retained, including modular chassis construction, superior long-travel suspension geometry, oil-filled shock absorbers, a friction clutch drive train, and front and rear differentials. Thanks to the 4WD drive and AC drive, you will experience countless hours of perfect controllability and lightning-fast acceleration. Maximum traction will be ensured by licensed BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain™ T/A® tires with excellent grip in all conditions.The regulator with three driving modes guarantees fun for adults and children thanks to the possibility of limiting the power to 50%. The precision Traxxas TQi RC kit with the option of telemetry and addition of a Bluetooth module (telemetry and BT module sold separately) allows the model to be further developed and improved. Of course, a wide range of tuning parts is available, including spare parts.

Chassis
The rigidity of the chassis is ensured by the proven spatial construction, which is light and strong at the same time. The chassis is made of high-quality nylon filled with carbon fibers. The low center of gravity gives the car great driving characteristics. The Slash 4X4 chassis is equipped with a long wheelbase with a length of 324 mm for greater stability and at the same time offers a ground clearance of almost 72 mm to overcome the terrain. Integrated side reinforcements help absorb energy in a side impact

Modular construction
The modular design allows you to remove the entire front section by loosening 5 screws and the rear assembly by loosening 4 screws. Within a minute you have access to all important parts, model setup and service maintenance. Solid, reinforced bumpers protect the model from impacts, at the same time, they are designed to maintain high approach angles.

Metal differentials
The new Slash is equipped with high-quality differentials with metal gears. Sealing allows differentials to be tuned for specific operating conditions by changing the viscosity of the oil in them.

Friction clutch
The friction clutch uses a special semi-metallic friction material and aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and ensure consistent traction control. The clutch slip intensity can be adjusted without disassembling the model.

Long shoulder lift
The long stroke of the arms dampens even sharp impacts and improves the controllability of the model. In any situation, it will have an accurate and fast steering response. Adjustable oil shock absorbers and X-rings are used on the chassis for endless fun.

More durable suspension arms
In addition to the Extreme Heavy Duty kit, the model is also equipped with stronger suspension arms that are even more resistant to a possible impact.

Oil shock absorbers
The long stroke Ultra Shock oil shocks are designed to absorb every impact. Double sealing X-rings ensure smooth operation without oil leakage. The properties of shock absorbers can be changed by preloading the springs, or by replacing the springs with other ones, and it is also possible to modify the behavior of the shock absorbers by changing the viscosity of the oil used. Race-tuned progressive springs are densely wound on the edges and thinly wound in the middle. Despite small bumps, the springs easily compress and keep the wheel in contact with the surface, while the thicker part of the shock absorber works with a strong impact.

Precise control
The mechanics of turning the front wheels is realized by means of the Dula-Bell-Crank system, which ensures the precise movement of the rods to the wheels. The steering has an integrated servo-saver that absorbs shocks and protects the servo against overload.

Adjustable connectors
Adjustable steel wheel suspension connectors allow for individual tuning of the suspension geometry and thereby changing driving characteristics for specific conditions. The model thus offers amazing variability!

Split-Spoke wheels
The model is equipped with SCT Split-Spoke wheels with an imitation Beadlock ring with a diameter of 2.2/3″ and BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain™ T/A® tires with excellent grip. The driver is a 12 mm hexagon.

Steering servo
Digital Traxxas servo 2075 high-torque waterproof with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm and a speed of 0.17 s/60°@ 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box and the output 1000 angle are fitted with gaskets. Two ball bearings provide very smooth operation.

Powerful AC motor
The Velineon 550 AC motor is precisely tuned for use in 1:10 RC cars. It provides the perfect balance between performance and optimal efficiency to car models. Another advantage is the long service life, which is determined only by ball bearings. The bearings can be purchased as part of the service kit under order number TRA3352R. The motor is of the 550 series, it has a 4-pole construction, which provides up to twice the torque compared to the two-pole version. The rotor is dynamically balanced and covered with Kevlar fabric to increase strength.

Electronic regulator VXL-3S
Waterproof* electronic Traxxas alternating current controller Velineon VXL-3S V2 with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The VXL-3S controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually familiarize themselves with the features of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors, simple control and intuitive signaling with a two-color LED diode.

VXL-3S controller modes

  • Sport: Default mode, forward driving, braking and reverse driving are possible.
  • Race: Mode suitable for racing. It is possible to drive forward and brake; return is not available.
  • Training: Mode suitable for children or beginner riders. It is possible to drive forward with power limitation to 50%, brake and drive backwards again with power limitation to 50%.

Traxxas TQi receiver
Traxxas TQi 5 Channel TSM RC Receiver with Telemetry for Traxxas TQi Transmitters. Simple operation, pairing using a button. LED status indication. 3-axis MEMS sensors for learning the position of the receiver are integrated in the receiver. The 5-channel receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (speed) and V/T (voltage / temperature). Run-in of the new electric motor
New model with engine, needs to be run in first. Before starting to use the DC electric motor, it is definitely recommended to run it. Some manufacturers require it as a condition for recognizing a possible engine claim. The purpose of the run-in is to seat the rotating parts well, smooth the friction surfaces of the contacts, and grind the carbons into the correct shape. The current enters the motor on the commutator surfaces using the so-called carbons, which may not have a perfectly adapted shape from production. If the new motor is loaded to the maximum without a previous run-in, the commutator surface or the carbons may be damaged due to large "sparking". The run-in will allow the carbons to settle on the commutator as perfectly as possible. Thus, the carbons will wear out less and last longer.

Electric motor run-in procedure:
-If you have a new RC model car or boat in which the engine is already mounted, proceed as follows. Place the model on the mat so that the wheels rotate above the surface. Let the engine run at the lowest possible speed for at least 20-30 minutes. You can then drive the model for 20-30 minutes at a lower speed and gradually increase the speed. Drive the model at full power only after the run-in phase has passed.

-If you have a new engine that has not yet been installed in the model, you can do the run-in in the traditional, proven way by immersing it in water. Connect the motor to the ESC controller and lower it by the cables vertically down into a container of clean water. Start the engine at low speed and let it run for 10-15 minutes. Then you can gradually increase the speed for a few minutes up to the maximum. finally, take the motor out of the water and let it run for a while to blow the water out of the motor. You can mount a run-in engine in the model and you can immediately drive at full power. You don't have to worry about the engine submerged in water. It will work normally and the water will cool it during the run-in. In addition, it washes out carbon particles during grinding (the water visibly darkens).

Protection against overheating of the electric motor:
Since the stator is made up of permanent magnets, it is good to know that these magnets gradually lose their "power". However, temperature also has a big impact. Each electric motor heats up during operation and can reach a temperature of 60°C (therefore, the motor must never be touched with bare hands after driving!). However, if the engine is not cooled or cooled insufficiently, or if it is driven for a long time at maximum speed, it may overheat and thus weaken the magnets. Even after cooling down, the engine will no longer reach its previous performance. Of course, other parts of the engine can also be damaged by high heat. It is therefore advisable to change the load mode, or to drive with two smaller accumulators with a break for replacement and cooling, rather than with one large-capacity one for a long time at full power.

Electric motor replacement, tuning:
If you decide to replace the electric motor in this model, pay attention to the following recommendations.
The new motor should be of the same type (size), have the same number of turns and the same supply voltage value as the original one. That way, you will be sure that the model will retain its original driving characteristics.
If you are planning a tuning motor, first of all, check whether the original ESC controller in the model will be able to work with the tuning motor, in order not to burn the ESC controller, or to prevent the ESC-motor system from working. When tuning a motor, it is usually necessary to replace a pinion with a different number of teeth.

WARNING! This RC car is not a toy, but a more sophisticated, functional model that behaves very much like a real car. Due to its realistic parameters, if it is not properly assembled and operated, it can cause you injury, or injure the viewer, or damage property. The model is intended for driving in a large room or outside on a dry surface. Driving in water, in snow, in puddles, mud, sand, in tall grass without appropriate waterproof treatment can cause damage to the electronics of the model. Driving on public roads and other places (e.g. parking lots) with car traffic is prohibited. Do not drive in thick grass, you will overheat or burn the engine!
This model requires regular maintenance, by disassembling it correctly according to the service manual, you will not lose the warranty.
